“From a young age I had an interest in art. My parents considered studio art my main focus, but I always found time to make videos with my friends, for class assignments, and for fun. The night before leaving for college an old friend pointed out how passionate I seemed about making videos. That one conversation stuck with me and throughout college I became more serious about pursuing a career in film.

I graduated from the University of Mary Washington as a Communication and Digital Studies major. I took every video class they offered and challenged myself to push beyond the minimum required in any one assignment. I was part of the first filmmaking club on campus and worked as a consultant at UMW’s Digital Knowledge Center. There, I was not only able to further my technical knowledge, but also gain the valuable skill of tutoring - something that I still use in my career.”
